I KNOW ONCE AGAIN
Without paddle, without oar,
I ride the rough seas
like a rum-crazed pirate unafraid of drowning.
In this old splintered rowboat
I propel myself
through the whitecap sharpness of this relentless sea.
Thoughts of your gentle welcome
smooth away the rough
and I know once again your love will save me.
