Twiglet #22

22-thehousesings

A twiglet is a short phrase. Or a word. Maybe two. Its aim is to “prompt” a flow. A thought. A memory. If something comes to mind, write. A polished piece isn’t the goal; creativity is. Leave a link, if you’d like your work read, but note that comments should not be expected. Twiglets are posted on Tuesdays

  1. FOUR HOUSE SOUND POEMS

    1
like bones they creak through rooms
    and lullaby me to dream
    vivid madness

    2
    cruelties say, “Pretend house sounds
are her words whispered to you
    at night.”

    3
    her footsteps, her love words,
    her infectious laughter:
    time’s gentle warpings.

    4
    house sounds color-blind
    abandoned lovers, whitewashing
    bright red passion

    1. If walls could talk… the last one reminds me of abandoned castles.
Perhaps because I just read a book which included a bit of ‘madness’ in a castle, and quite a bit of passion too.
So maybe the book was chick-lit. 😉
