Twiglet #41

A twiglet is a short phrase. Or a word. Maybe two. Its aim is to “prompt” a flow. A thought. A memory. If something comes to mind, write. A polished piece isn’t the goal; creativity is. Leave a link, if you’d like your work read, but note that comments should not be expected. Twiglets are posted on Tuesdays.

  1. Pot of Jam
    __to The Twiggler

    I had some potted ham.
I had of jam, a jar.

    I left the jar ajar.
    I left the door ajar.

    I drove a four-door car.
(I drove that car a lot.)

I drove from here to thar.
I flew from near to far.

    I passed the silty bar.
    I crossed the ocean mar.

    I eyed a star.
    I spied a war.

I wound down where the people are
who call a jar of jam a pot.
    That’s all I’ve got, Ma’am.

  2. Hello, my friends. It’s been a busy summer, with friends and family visiting, and then we took our usual autumn driving tour recently. I should be around more during the next few months, so I’ll be more participatory. Thanks for staying with the prompts, which continue whether I’m online or not.
