A twiglet is a short phrase. Or a word. Its aim is to “prompt” a flow. A thought. A memory. If something comes to mind, write. A polished piece isn’t the goal; creativity is. Leave a link, if you’d like your work read, but note that comments should not be expected. Twiglets are posted on Tuesdays.
Still Holding
I’m still holding that conversation with you
but now it isn’t so one-sided as before.
I chuckle at every zinger I throw at you
and sigh that you don’t even know.

Almost as bad as a joke without a punchline that a child expects you to laugh at…

As you know
I take my work here
Quite seriously
So following these instructions
I glued two boards
Together
And the glue
Is still holding
But I’m getting tired
Of sitting here waiting
For something to happen
So can I go home
Now?

Welcome. I enjoyed your “dreamy” poem very much. I tried posting a comment twice to your blog but it seems that the internet gobbled up each one. Hope to see you again on Tuesdays.
