A twiglet is a short phrase. Or a word. Maybe two. Its aim is to “prompt” a flow. A thought. A memory. If something comes to mind, write. A polished piece isn’t the goal; creativity is. Leave a link, if you’d like your work read, but note that comments should not be expected. Twiglets are posted on Tuesdays.
Back to work, but not quite with it

Nice. All the little white fairy lights are appearing in the shops now. The decorations are so pretty. I love plain white fairy lights.

The painted rock might have started with this:

But it has grown to specific different community or counties in different states on FB.
I’ve made a few to leave. I may never see who finds them… but they are fun to make.

We are supposed to face up
To the truth, but I wonder
What that means?
If we face truth squarely,
Is truth like blocks of Lego
That snap brightly
Into little walls, houses,
Yards and cities of rectitude?
If we face truth head-on,
I guess that is better than
Head-off, but possible
That our body parts are
Optional and truth can be
Dismembered and still survive?
Since it is Thanksgiving
I want to know if we could say
More interesting and tasty things
About truth. Like
“Truth is a steaming hot yam!”
And “Pass the turkey of truth!”
Or “I’d like some pumpkin pie
Of truth!”
Isn’t that better?
But that’s just me again,
Face to face
With growing hunger.

I’m so sorry for my delayed response. Time is slipping away from me lately, and I’ve not found a moment to sit and enjoy your ‘tasty’ poem. 😉
