Twiglet #60

A twiglet is a short phrase. Or a word. Its aim is to “prompt” a flow. A thought. A memory. If something comes to mind, write. A polished piece isn’t the goal; creativity is. Leave a link, if you’d like your work read, but comments should not be expected. Twiglets are posted on Tuesdays.

  1. FIVE A-BOUNDLESS-DEEP POEMS

    1
    My poems never reek
    Of the boundless deep:
    The words laid out
    Clear as mud.

    2
    I promised my soul
I would not get sucked into
    Giant moral potholes.

    3
    Some think this is Hell.
I ask them why there’s love then
And the heat of it doesn’t burn.

    4
The first time I heard the word “abyss,”
I wondered what a “byss” looked like.

    5
The boundless deep has no bottom
So, don’t ask how far down.
    Just keep walking.
