Twiglet #83

A twiglet is a short phrase. Or a word. Its aim is to “prompt” a flow. A thought. A memory. If something comes to mind, write. A polished piece isn’t the goal; creativity is. Leave a link, if you’d like your work read, but comments should not be expected. Twiglets are posted on Tuesdays.

  1. Aide to the Brilliant Detective

    Destroys her orders, unread.
    Words are spies.
    All walls have eyes.

Transcribes the warnings of the dead.
    September facts
    are December acts.

    She’s always following ahead,
    Reading the clues
    in yesterday’s news.

  2. Humid, Sticky; Weather

    Out of the window
    Morning dawn
    Reading the clues
    Of whether or not
    To stay in bed…
    Only if I could
    Would I, perhaps
    Read the clues
    Of a light hearted
    Murder mystery…
    That would solve
    The content of day
