Twiglet #190

A twiglet’s aim is to “prompt” a thought. If something comes to mind, write. A polished piece isn’t the goal; creativity is. Leave a link, if you’d like your work read, but comments should not be expected.

  1. In Cars

    The places we went!
    What we’ve seen! Packed
    with sibs and cousins, friends
    and loathlings, sweating
    in five-year obsolete tin cars.
    The states we counted
    by license plate. The cows
    by color. Billboard brands.
    Thermos jugs. Books read. Crayons
lost into the seat. Games of I See.
    Games of hangman. Rock
    Paper Scissors. Knock-
    Knock jokes. See Rock City.
    Ruby Falls. Knock down battles
    fought for windows. Airstreams
soared by dirty hands. Long hair
    braided into tangles. Tears
    scrubbed off. Sulks poked
like sores. GIs killed by supervillains.
    Shoes thrown out. Teddy bears.
    Stops demanded. Seats
    changed. Cola spilled.
    Ice cream cones toppled.
    Home again.

        1. A full day of experimenting with all the different block elements, plus how the code editor worked vs visual editor. The classic editor is still available on the right hand side if things need tweaking.

  2. Hi Misky! My blog is now Private, so I’ve sent you an “invite” to have access to read my posts. I enjoy Twiglets very much, and wanted to include you in the group of my favorite blog folks, but there’s no obligation attached 🙂

    1. click the Paragraph Block to make it the focus, then at the top click on the little horizontal line for text alignment. There are options within that dropdown for left, right or centre alignment. And give the poem block a miss. I use the text paragraph, which has a lot of more flexibility.
