Twiglet #215

heaven’s cliché

A twiglet’s aim is to “prompt” a thought. If something comes to mind, write. A polished piece isn’t the goal; creativity is. Leave a link, if you’d like your work read, but comments should not be expected.

  1. (A tad naughty)

    Heavens to Betsy

    Just who was that girl
    that elicited such surprise?
Or maybe it was a euphemism
    more acceptable than Hell’s Bells,
    more ladylike if you please
though it beats all to pieces WTF
that’s now common as a sneeze.

    1. One of our children is of the thought that ‘if the thought is as worse as the deed’ then why not do ‘it’
As in saying that odd word that breaches your lips when you forget to think before speaking.

    2. It’s interesting that there’s a lot more swearing on US telly (we don’t have much), but we have more nudity. It’s not uncommon at all to see a naked man with all his bit wiggling about on telly after the ‘watershed hour’ at 9pm.

      1. The second shared space was a basement apartment… Many years later we got to visit the location and the whole complex was gone!

Hard to believe I’ve been in one place for over 30 years. I keep getting offers from realtors asking if I want to sell. Good grief – I’m happy where I am (now).
