A twiglet is a short phrase. Or a word. Its aim is to “prompt” a flow. A thought. A memory. If something comes to mind, write. A polished piece isn’t the goal; creativity is. Leave a link, if you’d like your work read, but comments should not be expected. Twiglets are posted on Tuesdays.

The site doesn’t seem to want to post my link, so I’ll just leave my response here. Apparently that’s acceptable anyway. 😉
BE THE CONDUIT
We thirst for even a sprinkling of peace,

I just figured out all the different paths through the poem, like water sifting down through pebbles. I was slow on that one, LOL!

Time to Ponder
Bury me in a watery grave
the sea, a lake or river
and let me lie in the growing
things along the silty bottom.
I’ll be content in spring and summer,
when blossoms kiss the waves,
winter snows of ice and rime
and leaves of autumn float away.

When the first line came (from who knows where) I knew I didn’t want it to be morbid.

And I’m glad for it; too much morbidity in the world right now.

I love water… I know of a few who have had ashes scattered in oceans…

I know what you mean about the first line coming from “who knows where.” Often, it’s my last line, or last couple lines. Or at least, that’s most often how I take it. And I work backward from there. I love how you didn’t want it to be too morbid, though it could absolutely lend itself that way and may even have been easier to write in a way. Great poem!
